~ DMBO is located in the historic Delta Marsh, which was designated as an Important Bird Area in 1999 due to its significance as a water-fowl staging area, as well as stop over site for neotropical migrants.
~ DMBO is one of the busiest stations in the Canadian Migration Monitoring Network.
~ Delta Marsh is the Yellow Warbler capital of Canada - DMBO has banded about 15,000 Yellow Warblers since 1992.
