Banded 902 forest owls during the 1999 fall migration, including more than 50 Flammulated Owls (more than were ever caught anywhere in migration) and over 850 Saw-whet Owls (more than ever caught in the western U.S. in migration). ~ The only bird observatory in the western U.S. that conducts all of the following during fall migration: diurnal raptor counts and banding, songbird counts & banding, and forest owl banding. |
