New Uses for Food?
Big Agriculture/Government has recently had another lightning strike
idea. * One that nearly rivals artificial fat for ice cream and potato
chips in a world that starves. An enterprising researcher has come up
with cheeseburger containers (now made of paperboard) made of wheat. And
wheat starch could also be used for disposable coffee cups, plates, supermarket
meat trays, and carryout boxes. It seems potato-starch containers already
exist, but wheat starch is "more abundant".
What happened to farmers "feeding our nation and the world", which has been used as the mantra for eliminating woodlands and green space?
Why do we make the perception of greed so easy?
